True or False. Has your partner healed all of your body issues? It’s your job to heal yourself, it happens in so many ways. But personally for me, I’ve never listened to one person telling me how I should feel. It’s our job to heal us, It’s our job to rewire our voices in our heads. Boudoir is the perfect way to do that.

Imagine this: you walk in the door feeling uncomfortable and awkward. Almost immediately you are welcomed, with the sense that you’ve known Julie for years. You’re having such an amazing time that you forget to look at your phone. You are too focused on how beautiful you look, and feel. Everyone deserves to feel this. You are sexy AF! Everyone is afraid of showing their curves, acne, cellulite, scars, stretch marks, and all the, “imperfections,” you see. Girl, you don’t even know how undeniably sexy you are. Hey besties! I’m Julie Shetler, the creator of this bada$$ woman-owned business. I started this business when dinosaurs roamed the Earth, so I know what’s up. I am here to break the stigma that Boudoir is NOT CORN! It is for all shapes, sizes, colors, and ages. I teach women to have an inner voice, and remember they are sexy AF!

I have followed Julie's photography journey for years and love seeing her teach women empowerment through photography. But it's honestly so much more than just photography, it's an entire experience! I have had so many things taken from me through traumatic experiences and completely lost myself. This photo shoot for me was about taking back what is mine and owning it. I put all my trust in Julie and she didn't let me down. I wore things I never would have thought to pick for myself and through the lense of her camera she showed me my beauty. She reminded me I am a strong, independent woman and this is MY body, none of which are to be ashamed of. I have control over my life and my body. “I booked for two reasons.
One to commemorate and celebrate my 50th and because my husband is always saying he wishes I could see myself through his eyes. I thought this was the closest way to do that. OMG! Julie was my favorite part of my session. The energy started when I walked through the front door! She is the second best hype person I’ve ever met. First one is my hubby. By the second outfit, I was strutting around in my thong and fishnets because Julie makes it that easy and comfortable. Man, did she make me feel how beautiful I am. Full on hype, woman! The studio and changing room/ lingerie closet were cozy, sexy, and comfortable. I felt at home the second I entered thanks to Julie and her amazing set up. YES!
